Dr. Sophie Zettl is an experienced biotechnology professional, bringing 15 years of international Business Development experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of building company value through successful partnering, high-value licensing transactions, R&D collaborations and strategic alliances.

Dr. Zettl is currently Chief Business Officer of the incubator/accelerator CEBINA GmbH, with overall responsibility for Business Development, IP, Marketing and Communications and where she holds various management roles in incubated companies: CBO/COO and Managing Director in Algonist Biotehnologies GmbH; Head of BD at Calyxha Biotechnologies GmbH and at Eveliqure Biotechnologies GmbH.

She has previously held positions of increasing seniority in Business Development, including Senior Director Business Development at Arsanis Inc (NASDAQ: ASN), Senior BD Manager MedImmune Ltd, the global biologics business of AstraZeneca PLC, and University Technology Transfer Offices UCL Business PLC and KCL Enterprises Ltd. Sophie has a background in research, holding a PhD in molecular signalling from the University of Manchester and industrial R&D experience gained at Eli Lilly and GSK.
